This hidden paradise had it all - a seawater swimming pool, a free pick-up service , and even Thalassotherapy treatments! Plus, the shuttle to and from town saved me from having to walk in my fancy shoes.
I mean, who needs to leave the beach residence when you have a small private beach, right?

Within walking distance to la baia negra. Everything was wonderful, nothing bothered me. Moderate prices were a delight.

The staff is very nice and helpful.
The location is far from the port, but they provide the free shuttle. There is no wifi or even internet in the apartment. You have to go to the reception, which is far away from the apartment and is closed after 10pm.

I recently stayed at Vulcano Blu Residence for a week-long vacation. The spacious room with a balcony and sea-view was incredible, and the small kitchen and large fridge were convenient. The swimming pool was the cleanest I have ever seen, and I enjoyed swimming in it every evening. The reception area with WiFi was a great place to work, and the shuttle bus to the village was convenient. The staff, including Giacomo, was professional and helpful. it was a calm and peaceful experience, and I hope to return.
Would recommend this hotel.

The staff at Vulcano Blu provided a 5 star service and made us feel at home from day one, the staff really bent over backwards to help. When making the reservation we requested a room with a balcony and a sea view and that is exactly what we got, big balcony and a stunning sea view. We travelled around Sicily for 10 days staying in 6 different places and this was by far the best.

The view from the pool was simply breathtaking and we spent hours enjoying it. The staff were incredibly accommodating, allowing us to check in early and providing a shuttle service to town. Our two-bedroom house was clean and comfortable, perfect for our family. We had an excellent time exploring Lipari and the nearby attractions like the volcano. Thank you to the staff for making our family vacation memorable!
For families with children, it would be great if the two-bedroom houses had air conditioning. My kids wished the bedrooms were cooler at night.

The hotel had a charming decoration, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The general areas were well-maintained and clean, and it was easy for senior people like me to navigate around. The accessibility of the hotel was great, with ramps and elevators available for those who need them. It made my stay much more enjoyable and convenient.
I would've appreciated better assistance from the staff in catering to the needs of senior people. Just a little more understanding and attention to our requirements would have made for a better vacation experience.

This is a place to relax. Be aware it is really a family holiday place and you have to get all your own food from the supermarket. Even down to washing up liquid. They tell you it is about 800 metre walk to town but if you are up the other end of Vulcano Blu it is 3.0 kilometre walk to a town restaurant. There is a shuttle and they will take you if you ask out of the shuttle times. Hire a scooter if you are staying here.
Not for singles, stay somewhere else. The convoluted layout of the resort with very little signage can leave you bewildered in the dark if you haven't learnt the layout yet....

Hotel staff was friendly. There was shuttle / pickup service to village / port. There is a very small private hotel beach nearby, which is not bad and good for a swim.
The apartment was older as well as the furniture and equipment. It was pretty over-priced - the worst value for money we experienced while travelling Lipari and Volcano. The Vulcano Blu seems to be part of a larger apartment building area. Our apartment was placed somewhere between private/residential apartments. The whole area is quite a bit off the village and the port. It is a 20 minutes walk (in the midday heat or at night after dinner ...). Shuttle/pick-up service is not available at any time.

The view from the swimming pool is amazing. The area around the hotel is full of nature and is very relaxing. A good place to stay for longer vacations (at least a week) and especially convenient if you have a car as there is free parking.
While the hotel staff is very kind and offers transport to the town center every 2 hours, the location is acutally not suitable to anyone who either does not have a car or is unable to walk a good 1,5 km. The apartments are relatively clean and the quality/cost ratio is more than acceptable. The real problem is that the apartments are not in any way stocked for people who book for a short stay. The kitchen is lacking even the most basic supplies so you need to bring everything you can imagine: salt, oil, sugar, dishwashing soap, a sponge for washing the dishes, a towel for drying the dishes--basically every last thing you will need besides a towel for the shower. The local market doesn't sell any miniture sized amenities so you will end up having to buy a kilo of sugar, a liter of oil, a liter of dishwashing soap, etc for a 2 night stay. Finally, while the pool is amazing and may be enough for most people, the beach access is actually extremely close to the port and the water is dirty.
